I went to watched STOMP show today in KLPAC. It was really a great show and i enjoyed it so much. Initially i was reluctant to watch it when my husband have been asking me if im interested to watch broadcast show. I told him im more interested to watch Jacky Cheong's concert, now i was regretted to said that hahaha. I think i have falling in love of broadcast.

I'm back again. I just spent a little time to bake simple and easy muffin today. I wanted to try to make some buns after seen Wendy's blog which she used pre-fermented dough method. I even had bought the flour but just no time to do it as i have been busy with my new job, after work have to take care of kids and cleaning stuff. 2. Add water, vegetable oil over 1 min on slow speed. Scape down, then mix for 3mins on slow speed until the mix is smooth.

Cheese Bread Sticks

Bread again. My bread flour had been expired for 2 weeks, for me i will throw it away if anything that had expired but according to the bakery shop, they said although the flour have been expired we still can use it. My husband also said that. I checked out the bread flour still in good condition so i used it for Cheese Bread Sticks.

Buns

I didnt bake buns for quite sometimes. The buns look nice in this pic but it turned hard on the next day. It was soft and nice to eat when it's hot. I'm not sure what's went wrong maybe due to lack of practice for sometimes and i had dizzyness that day.  So dissapointed.. But my husb still can finished the hard hot dog buns on the next day.  :O(.

I felt better after few drinks of "Hor yan hor" (herbal tea) to relieved the dizzyness and i continue to grilled chicken wings for the dinner. :O) ..I can't find the recipe for grilled chicken wings cos was so dizzy that day. I just simply marinated the chicken wings with soy sauce, dark soy sauce and a bit of honey for 3hours.
When it grilled half way i applied some honey front and back of the chicken wings.

Steamed Yam Cake

I'm back again...I have been reading my favourite blogger's blog rather than write my own blog. Sometimes really don't know how to start to post my status here or maybe I'm not good in writing.:0p

Back to my baking, this is my first trial of steamed yam cake. I like the result of my yam cake as it was soft not hard texture as what I expected. My husb said nice and we finished it for supper and breakfast.

The recipe I referred to http://my kitchen.cookingmomster.com..sorry that I can't upload the link as I'm using iPad to post.

Steamed Chicken with Chinese Sausage

I cooked this simple dish today. I don't fancy chinese sausage (lap cheong) but i like" lap yuk" (dark fat wax pork, sorry i didn't know what is it call.) Try to find chinese text here, i'm still novice on blogging,  don't know where to find the chinese text. :OP

Verdict: The drumstick soft and the gravy tasted yummy. My kids like the chinese sausage so much.

Last week my mom in law gave us some chinese sausage. I got some boneless drumstick and "lap yuk" in my freezer, i steamed it with chinese sausage. The recipe i got it from the recipe book below.

Ingredient:
1 Half Chicken (i used boneless drumstick)
2 pcs Chinese Sausage (Lap Cheong)
50gm Lap yuk
2 slices Garlic (Chop finely)
1 slice Ginger (Chop finely)

Seasoning:
Soy sauce - 2tsp
Rice wine - 1tbsp
Cornflour - 1tbsp

Method:
1. Rinse the chicken with water and pat dried with paper towel. Rinse lap cheong and lap yuk then cut nto slices.
2. Marinate chicken with seasoning and rub the ginger and garlic onto chicken. Place lap cheong and lap yuk into chicken. Keep in the fridge for 30mins.
3. Steam the chicken for about 20mins.

"Sorry, you have to turn your head upside down :OP. I can't rotate the pic as i can't save it into my harddisk which is full of memory. Thumb drive also full of memory..sigh."

Green Tea and Orange Snowkin Mooncake

After trial and error on snowkin mooncake, i made it finally but the moulding part still need more improvement. I think either the green tea skin was too thin or maybe the way i hold the snowkin not gentle enough. But at least this time can see the sheep pattern on orange mooncake :OP unlike from my previous post can't see the pattern at all. Or maybe i should not use the jelly mould, that's why the skin are unstable when it taken out.

The Green Tea snowkin mooncake's recipe was adapted from Nasilemaklover's blog. The orange one i replaced the water to fresh orange juice. Initially, i thought of buying lotus paste for filling but out of stock. I  tried out Charcoal Bamboo Lotus paste. This time i added egg yolk into Charcoal Bamboo Lotus for the filling..Not bad though.

Mooncakes

I have seen many bloggers making a nice and colourful mooncake for this coming Mooncake Festival.
For newbies like me, i just know how to make Shanghai mooncake which is more easier. But my snow skin mooncake still need more improvement.

Fried Meehoon with AMC pot

As I was busy making mooncake this afternoon. I used AMC pot to fried meehoon for lunch and dinner. Quick and easy, just dump all the ingredients into the AMC pot and covered.

Stewed pork belly with dry chillies

I usually cooked this stewed pork belly few hours early for the dinner so i don't have to rush when comes to dinner time. I cooked this in the afternoon for dinner on last sunday before i attend the yoga class. This is easy for me as after my class over, i just need to prepare dinner for kids with ready cooked rice and stewed pork.

Sorry for the blur vision as it was snapped by handphone. I think this is one of the Hakka recipe. The sources i got it from my friend few years back. She gave me a rough idea how to prepare this dish. After few attempts my improvement is getting better. I dont have the proper recipe, i just assume the amount of soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and dark soy sauce. If i feed my kids with this dish i will usually scoop some of the porks and gravy in different bowl as they can't eat spicy. Lastly, iwill add the dry chillies and cooked for a while.

Orange Chiffon Cake

I was so happy as i finally made the perfect chiffon cake compared to my first attempt from previous post.. Besides, i used the wrong knife to cut the cake as you can see the layering there. During my first attempt from my previous post, i didn't really study on the egg white beaten steps provided by Wendy's blog. And the cake was moist last time. This time i really pay attention on the steps by steps on how the egg white reached to the stff peak. My cake turned out nicely without fall down and is not moist. Thanks to Wendy for sharing the steps.

Easy Brazilian Cheese Bread

I bake the Brazilian Cheese Bread last few weeks ago. The recipe adapted from Simply Recipes. It was really easy as just mixed all the ingredients and blend it. The bread texture similar like Japanese mochi.

Ribena Cheesecake AGAIN

I think I'm crazy of Ribena Cheesecake lately. I made this cheesecake again and again. This time i treated part of the cheesecake to my girlfriends and part of it kept at home as a dessert or supper. Sorry for the unpresentable cheesecake as i prepared it at night and no time to do the jelly on top, this time i just dumped the blueberry on top of the cheesecake. But it was really yummy to serve together with blueberry.

Bali Trip @ Jimbaran

I don't mind to go back to Jimbaran again just for the sunset. The seafood just so so here and is not cheap at all except the BBQ corn.

Bali Trip #3

I don't have time to sort the photos by places. I just simply grabbed the nice photos and posted here.

We had buffet at Kintamani for Volcano view on the 2nd day. It was cloudy and it rained that day. But Thank God, the rain stopped as soon as we reached. We travelled along the way from Ubud and passed by the villages at the hill. It was quite fun to see how different their lifestyle are.
