Bacon Rolls

I actually plan to bring my daugh to hair salon but she doesn't want to go as she wanted to go to babysitter house to play with jie jie. I'm quite free after sent my kids to babysitter so i find something to bake. I saw the Bacon and Onion Bread posted by Dailydelicious which is so tempting. Bacon is my favourite anyway. I did not follow her bread's recipe except bacon fillings, i used my own Bread's recipe. Actually i wanted to bake a smaller size similar as Dailydelicious but it turned out double size. I did not follow her measurement as i just simply roll it. The buns very fluffy and super soft.

Proof for 1hr after kneading, double up it size
2nd proofing for half an hour before cheese topping

I think I'm not a good baker for cake but i admit i'm a good bread baker :oP.

My cake rose well but after i inverting the pan immediately, the cake dropped off  and it was shrinking :o(  My heart shrinking also after see this..hahahhaa ..Although is not what i expected the cake taste good and not so sweet. I like to chew together with the walnut and apricot.

Santa Claus is coming to town

I'm off for a week because have to clear all the leaves. I went for a shopping with Jowyn (college's friend) yesterday to look for the Xmas gifts at Pavillion and Farenheit 88. We didn't really buy anything from Pavillion  mostly more on window shopping and had a lunch there.

Lunch at 1U

Time is passing so fast. My gal just finished her Xmas party at her nursery school yesterday. This year seems quiet and less people join the party perhaps most of the kids has been gone for holiday. Unlike last year i remember when my gal just joined the nursery on Nov, it was a huge Xmas party which there were Sandra Claus and magician around.

We bring our kids out for lunch today at One Utama and also let them to enjoy the Xmas trees around the mall. I don't think my son will enjoy the Xmas atmosphere as he only know how to enjoy FOOD..:o)

My gal requested to buy this cutter from Daiso Japan so i bought it.

Orange Chiffon Cake

This is the shortest version of chiffon cake. I bought the Chiffon Cake Mix from bakery ingredient shop. The boss told me that the easy method to bake chiffon cake is use this cake mix just added eggs, water and oil unlike the original method which you have to separate egg yolks and egg white. The chiffon cake mix i bought is 500gm and required 8-10 eggs..I don't have confident to bake the whole packets so i just bake half only.
I substitute orange juice with water and added some orange rind. The whole cake taste orangy like the first Orange Chiffon cake that i baked last time.

Frankly, i'm still prefer the original version..the tall one.

Pizzas

Pineapple and bacon pizza

Mushroom and pineapple pizza

Today after workout from yoga class, i feel so so hungry. Lots of foods comes in to my mind. I bought my favourite baguette from bakery shop. I suddenly think of pizza for dinner tonight and i have bacon and pizza base in the freezer. I bought some fresh pineapple, mozzarella cheese and mushroom from supermarket. Initially i thought of bake one pizza only, after read the instruction about pizza once thaw cannot refreeze so i have to bake all. I got the little helper to sprinkle cheese on the pizzas. During the preparation i didn't noticed that it was already 5pm, no wonder my little girl so noisy for the pizza.

Ingredients:
Pineapple with bacon pizza
1. Pizza base.
2. Tomato sauce
3. Bacon
4. Pineapple chunks
5. Mozzarella cheese

Thaw the pizza base, apply tomato sauce on the pizza follow by cheese, bacon, pineapple and sprinkle cheese again. Bake for 200C at 20mins or until the cheese melted.

I'm submitting my post to Aspiring Bakers #-6 :Say Cheese( April 2011) hosted by Jean.
