Onde-Onde

I always thought kuih are difficult to make. I read the recipe book '1 Hari 1 Resipi' at my mother in law's house and learnt that the onde-onde actually is easy to make. Once my husband saw this recipe, he said he likes to eat and asked me to make it. So i borrowed from my in law and plucked some pandan leaves behind her house. This kuih took me more than a week to make it as i didn't expect that i will injured my knee.

On the first day i blended the pandan juice which you can refer the way  from Wendy's blog. I thought i can make onde-onde on the same day but my knee cannot stand longer so tiring. I kept the juice in the fridge for a week and it is still in a good condition. Finally make it yesterday.

Ingredients:
2 cups of glutinous flour
1 tbsp of plain flour
1 cup pandan juice
2pcs palm  sugar
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
Salt to taste

Method:
- Knead glutinous flour, plain flour and salt with pandan juice bit by bit till the dough incorporated.
- Pinch small portion of dough (thumb size), stuff palm sugar into the dough centre and wrapped it like a ball.
- Position them on a tray.
- Heat up large pot of boiling water, drop the balls in five to six at a time. When the balls are cooked, they will float to the top. Scoop out and transfer to sieve to drain for about five second.
- Finally roll the balls in the desiccated coconut.

Disneyland in Tokyo

I would like to share some of the photos here from my recent trip in Japan.

The week before i went to Japan, my kids was sick with high fever. I was so stressed as my daughter's fever took a week to recovered just the 2 days before i departed to Japan. My husband was in China and had been called to checked out her fever status which i felt more pressure. I didn't rest at all as i had to sponged her all night when her fever reached high temperature. Thank god that she had recovered and i was relieved to enjoy my holiday.

After came back from holiday, I feel like i getting more worst because i'm getting super lazy. My brain still thinking of holiday. :oP.

The popcorn container

Stroller parking
It is always long queue for any rides as it was school holiday in japan.
Waiting for boat ride in Little Small World

Lunch
This pearl tea cost us RM20. The pearl got mickey's head.

The place where i had my lunch. Although it was sunny but quite enjoy under the cold weather.

I managed to grab this packet sushi rice with salmon. I saw most of the people has this simple packet for their lunch while queuing for the ride.

Oreo Buns

Another buns that i make today, the recipe is from Nasilemaklover's blog. The topping perhaps doesn't looks good as my presentation is not good. I kept the oreo biscuits quite sometimes thought of make cheesecake but end up until i seen this easy buns with oreo's recipe.

Japanese Cream Buns

I saw this Japanese Cream Bun's recipe from Frozenwing's.blog long time ago and thought of make it one day but have been delayed and delayed due to my lazy worms. Lately, i thought of make some breads since i'm so free at home but can't decide what to make until i've seen Wendy's.blog posted the Japanese Cream Bun. So ok lah i'm going to try it out with the new method. I think it is called gelatinised method if i'm not wrong.

My kids ate 2 buns after dinner maybe just fresh from the oven, taste nicer. But the buns was moist on the next day, i'm not sure what's the causes. Wendy and Frozen Wing's buns look fluffy. I guessed maybe due to the kneading problem or maybe i gotta do more practice cos i didn't bake quite sometimes.

I think i might have a reading problem which i didn't always follow or read the method from recipes properly. For eg:
1.for this recipe, i dumped all ingredients in the breadmaker maybe caused of moist. (just my guessing). I didnt followed the steps.
2.I cooked yogurt in tikka massala chicken which the yogurt was supposed to put on top of curry chicken and not cooked together. :o(. Not satisfied, will cook again and share pic in next round
2.Just make the Oreo buns, the recipe for topping is added the sugar paste with oreo biscuits but my sugar paste was in dustbin..oh dear, am i dreaming.

I guessed my brain is to blank staying at home cannot function at all compared when i worked that time.

CNY Cookies

I'm back again. After quit my job last month, I've been busy with kids during the end of the school holidays and busy baking cookies as the CNY approaching. But now, I seems like miss my career maybe have been used to working all the time. So now i try to occupy myself to cook and bake more often but at the same time hopefully will get some part time offer from previous company. Well, after stop for a month of baking, i started to bake pineapple cookies last week which was quite tiring as my son needs my attention too. Maybe age catching up as no longer can do multi-tasking work :OP.

There is no proper recipe, I bought the pineapple cookie mix and the green pea mix from baking supplies shop. What i need to do just added butter, egg yolks for pineapple and oil for green pea.
